It is a multidisciplinary research unit in the field of Social Sciences affiliated to the Department of International Studies and Contemporary History at Babeș-Bolyai University Cluj

The Center focuses on the political and security issues of contemporary societies and brings together expertise from various subfields:

Our mission

To develop and strengthen the research component on political and security processes, decisions and institutions in contemporary societies.

Objectives:

  • Increasing the quality of research in political and security studies
  • Development of research networks with national and international partners
  • Development of research projects and participation in funding competitions
  • Creating a functional and efficient research infrastructure with researchers at various career levels
  • Communication with non-academic partners (public institutions, media, civil society) to disseminate research results
  • Organizing courses, seminars, workshops and conferences with specialized topics
  • Improving research skills for master's and doctoral students
